Vintage Star Wars Production Used X-Wing Concept Blueprint
GRADE / CONDITION: Absolutely gorgeous original Star Wars concept blueprint! The paper has yellowed with age and has some minor spotting - but no major damage. The vintage architectural blueprint stock measures 17 7/8" x 11 5/8" (the frame covers some of the blank paper for better composition)
BACKGROUND / PROVENANCE: This was originally obtained from Star Wars set designer Edward Mayer (who worked at ILM in Van Nuys, CA at the time). It was later brokered out by Jordan Hembrough (The Travel Channel's Toy Hunter) of Hollywood Heroes in New Jersey. We acquired this item several years ago and had it professionally framed under museum-quality glass. Framing was done correctly and cost around $300.
Blueprint copies of original Joe Johnston drawings were sent to Industrial Light & Magic and given to model makers to construct the final ships to be used during filming Star Wars. These were also used as rough storyboard guides in creating specific scenes. An epic piece of Star Wars history! Just thinking that ILM model makers fleshed out the final appearance of the X-wing over this piece of paper is exciting. It has been well cared for - and will be hanging proudly until it is time for someone else to enjoy it.
Please note that due to different color models, light environments, etc - cameras and monitors can never capture the exact accurate colors. There may be a slight difference. This originally came with a COA, but was misplaced. However, the age of this piece is pretty obvious . Blueprint will be shipped very carefully with full insurance. If you are local, you are welcome to free pickup or inspection prior to purchase.
